Transformation in the Archipel District

A harmony between history and modern luxury

In this beautiful building from 1900 in the Archipel district lay an opportunity to transform a segmented and old-fashioned layout into an open, light, and sustainable living space. The ground floor was poorly arranged and called for a new approach, where functionality and character come together.

By removing the basement/storage between two rooms, a spacious and open living area was created where the living room and kitchen seamlessly merge. The original structural floor and beams were replaced by a high-quality renovation floor with excellent insulation values – the perfect base for comfortable underfloor heating laid throughout the entire floor.

For the finishing touch, Willem Designvloeren was once again allowed to realize a beautiful concrete floor, a stylish and sustainable foundation for this space. WoodCreations provided craftsmanship with a custom-made kitchen featuring refined oak details, and also created various tailor-made solutions that perfectly match the wishes of our client. Maximum light and a modern look were achieved through the slim steel window frames from PerfectView Windows. These not only provide an open and spacious effect but also contribute to insulation and living comfort.

This project is a harmonious interplay between our craftsmen and the beautiful finishing touches by our partners. By preserving history and applying modern techniques, we have allowed sustainability, space optimization, and aesthetics to go hand in hand. A timeless metamorphosis in which the past and present come together.

A project that Den Haan renovators is rightly proud of.
